Program Residency Requirements
Residency sessions are mandatory. As an example, if a student is scheduled for a weekend residency session, they must attend all three-and-a-half (3.5) days of the session. Missed sessions will result in a failing grade and may result in loss of visa status for international students studying in the US on F-1 status.
Effective January 2024, residency courses will follow this schedule:
Graduate Residency: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Eastern Time on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM Eastern Time on Sunday of either week 10 or Week 13 of each semester.
Undergraduate Residency: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Eastern Time on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM Eastern Time on Sunday as follows: during a 16-week semester, undergraduate students will take their residency courses during weeks 4 and 7 of their first 8-week term; and during week 7 of their second 8-week term.
During holidays such as Christmas and New Years, the week of residency may be moved forward 1-2 weeks. Please check the calendar.
*Domestic students in a residency class are required to attend for a specified day and may choose whether to attend in person or video conference.
